The term International Business Company refers to any legal entity whose beneficial ownership and business activities lie outside Cyprus.

There are currently about 14.000 IBC's which are active and of these about 1.100 have a physical presence in Cyprus. Cyprus' entrepreneurial environment and supporting facilities compare favourably with those of the best established centers in the world.

Cyprus is considered to be a primary international business center among approximately 70 countries offering facilities for these purposes.
